If the Mariners aren't quite sure what to think of their future following a
crushing three-game sweep by the division rivals from Los Angeles, Angels
shortstop Orlando Cabrera has some advice.
According to the veteran infielder, Seattle shouldn't be looking ahead in the
American League West race any longer.
"I think," Cabrera said, "this series probably put in their head they need to
be worried about the wild card and not the division."

"The way we played and the way we beat them gives us a lot of confidence,"
said Cabrera, who went 2-for-5 and is now hitting .415 for the season against
Seattle. "The way we stepped up these last three days shows the kind of team
we are in pressure situations."

"I think it leaves no doubt," Cabrera said, "that we are the better team at
this moment."
