The club has been up for sale since the summer after Rosella Sensi agreed a debt resettlement plan with Italpetroli's creditors, the Italian bank UniCredit. Rothschild were then contacted and asked to sound out any interested parties in Roma, drawing up a shortlist of possible candidates. La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that there are at least six offers - two from Italy, two from America, one from an Arab bidder and another from China.
