Lupoli was a Parma youth product and signed for Fiorentina from Arsenal last summer on a free transfer after failing to break into the side at the Emirates Stadium. The 20-year-old arrived at the Stadio Artemio Franchi with high hopes, but he hasn't had a chance to prove himself as he is behind Adrian Mutu, Christian Vieri and Giampaolo Pazzini in the pecking order. 「Florence wasn't a failure, but it was certainly a disappointment,」 Lupoli admitted in La Gazzetta dello Sport. 「When I arrived here I had very different expectations. I knew that I would have lots of competition, but I expected that I would have more chances. 「I am ambitious and I know my worth, so I asked to go somewhere else.
