Brazilian defender Cac,apa has announced he will not sign a new contract with Olympique Lyonnais, the side he captains, after a seven-year stint at the club. It is reported in Italy that Fiorentina have agreed a deal with the 31-year-old as a replacement for Dario Dainelli, whose own contract talks have stalled. However, teammate Ujfalusi believes there will be no change in the centre of defence at the Stadio Franchi next term. 「Dainelli will remain with the Viola, this team needs its captain and I think that in the end even Toni will stay with us,」 said the Czech. 「As for myself, I have been in Florence for the past three years and I have no intention of changing, I have a contract until 2008 and I will honour it,」 added the defender.
