Fascism is at its most elementary a conservative revolution-- of economic developmemt, modern industry. But a revolution nonetheless would maintain or even reassert a traditional hierarchical society. A society which is modern, efficient, but at the same time controlled by hierarchical values with no class or other antagonisms. But they have a problem here, the fascists. Antagonsim, class struggle, and other tensions, is something inherent to capitalsim. Modernisation, industrialization, means disintegration of all stable relations. It means socail conflicts. Instability is the way capitalism functions. So how to solve this problem? Simple. You need to generate a ideological narrative which explains how things go wrong in a society, not as a result of the inherent tensions in the development of this society, but as a result of the foreign intruder. ──The Pervert's Guide to Ideology --
