The family film is about what happens when Santa Claus accidentally leaves the North Pole a day early and crash-lands on a family's roof. The production has begun shooting in Toronto and is set to premiere next year on Hallmark Channel. Since Showtime's "The L Word" concluded its run, Beals has co-starred in Fox's "Lie to Me" and appears in the upcoming feature "The Book of Eli."
