標題[問題]英文關係代名詞

There was once a time when all human beings were gods. However, they often
took their divinity for granted and even abused it. Seeing this, Brahma,
the chief god, decided to take their divinity away from them and hide it
...... it could never be found.
(A) though (B) because (C) where (D) when
這題答案是C
但我選C的原因是沒有其他可以選
但我不知道文法到底是如何
我認為應該要有先行詞hide it in the place where...
為什麼呢?網路上的詳解都些照文意作答= =
