標題[問題] 高中一題文法翻譯

最近在教高中英文文法時,
教到一題我完全不知道該如何翻譯的題目
But I shall never forget running down the hot sand and into the "big pond,"
as I called it.
我看了半天...我真的完全不懂
不知道是否有任何前輩知道該如何解釋
