The 33-year-old has long been a mainstay amongst the top echelons of elite table tennis players. Cheng has demonstrated remarkable consistency in a career that has spanned two decades. In 905 matches that the current World No.11 has competed in globally, she has notched 557 wins, an impressive figure as someone who has gone toe-to-toe with the very best time and time again. Her outstanding moment on the WTT Series so far came at WTT Star Contender Goa 2024, where she secured a dominant 4-0 win over Nina Mittelham to hold aloft the Women’s Singles trophy. Having lost in each of her six previous singles title matches, that victory in Goa was the culmination of years of hard work on and off the table.
