標題[選校] 2024Fall 土木CE/水利HE PhD選校

各位前輩好，由於版上土木/水利PhD的文章很少，且小弟的背景十分多元，各個領域都有
嘗試過，故想問版上的大大請大家幫忙看大概落點會在哪裡，並詢問土木/水利近年在國
外的發展狀況(去年申請時有跟國外的教授聊，說美國最近花大筆的鈔票砸在土木領域上)
。
雖然今年想申請2024 Fall的 Civil Engineering (CE) / Hydraulic Engineering / Coa
stal Engineering 博士，但想說都到美國了，仍想輔修CS或做跟CS有關的研究，目標是
畢業後留在國外工作並且拿身分。
現在在某國內老字號營造廠擔任現場工程師，專業領域為:海岸工程的數據/圖像分析、感
測器(RPi、Arduino)應用於土木領域、以及決策分析；熟悉Python、Matlab、qgis和GEE
，也熟悉機器學習。
以下是個人的背景資訊:

夢幻:UMich, CMU, UCLA, Princeton, UMN
主要:NCSU, UFlorida, PennState, UCI, Northeastern, UDelware
主要還是按照USNEWS來排序的，加上國外做海岸工程的名校又甚少，故以UMich和CMU為最
想要去的兩所(以可輔修CS作考量的話)。
另外，其實我也有申請2023FALL的Program，雖然有收到NCSU、UFlorida和UDelware的全
額獎學金，但因教授都為助理教授就拒絕了，而Penn State也有開出(flow measurement+
ML)的邀約，雖然很心動但考量當時的選校策略失誤，故決定再戰2024就忍痛放棄了。
也想請問版上，有沒有仍在國外奮鬥的土木/水利奮鬥的學長姐，亦或已經業界上班或者
轉型至CS領域成功的學長姐們；當然，除了美國外，荷蘭的大學包括University of Twen
te和TU Delft也都有再觀望，希望版上的大大們能給我一點亮光指引方向。
