China also played some tight defence, holding Chinese Taipei to only 11 points, while scoring 23 of their own. Jui-Yu Lan had five of Chinese Taipei旧 points. Jia Guang provided a spark for China off the bench in the second quarter, helping her team build on their lead, and finishing the half with seven points. China jumped to a 51-28 half time lead on the back of 45% shooting and 30 rebounds to 18. Chinese Taipei made a run at China in the third quarter, the team working together to only fall behind by one more point, finishing the quarter and going into the final break 24 points in arrears, 48-72.
