Immolation (2023)
Catherine Harnett
"After Mahsa, everything is hanging by a hair."
We are disobedient.
Today we burn our scarves,
we cut our hair. It was long
and beautiful and hidden,
now burned to death
in the city square. You will
see us shorn, you will call
us blasphemous, you will
not become aroused by our
defiant, short, uneven hair.
