my heart is as dead as a doornail.
just going through the motions
outliving myself
feeling the world revolving
nay, willing it
waving it goodbye
as it leaves me in the dust
the more i think about authentic connections
the less i can authentically connect.
have i locked myself up
or have i died inside
--that is the question
the fire
is it smoldering still
i shall lay myself under the chidden winter sun
until it reignites
