"This is not my true face!" I scream silently into your reflection vaguely masked in the glaze. Forever young Those blue eyes. That raven hair. "I never age." "Heavens, God. What are you?" A dragon hairpin on your drawer A crimson shawl in your bed. "I am what you made me." A long coat floating down streets of grey A blur of exotic among beats of red. Forever perfect "What's your secret?" The sun was so hot. "If I told you, I'll have to kill you." My skin scorched under Helios' gaze. "How terrifying." Your touch. Forever cursed "What's in there?" I'm sorry. I'm sorry. "Give me the key!" I'm sorry. So sorry. Your hands become stone. So heavy. So cold. Red wisps in the water limp on the floor "I have seen my soul."
