My experience is that, whatever you thought, no matter how rediculous it is, just write it out, read out loud. It doesn't matter if anyone's going to laugh at you. You enjoy it alone, and in this process you gain contentment. It doesn't matter whether the piece of writing is good or not, as long as you try, and enjoy it, you'll gain progress. I think everybody has creativity. It's better to create than criticize. Yet in the same time accepting criticizm is good too. But I think too much criticizm and meticulousity will kill our creativity. So, I would rather praise than criticize. Different people have different tastes, so I have no idea what's the absolute formal and acceptable poetry. I think the diversity norishes creativity even more. It stimulates each other's thoughts, and ignite interesting ideas by exchanging different poems. Because each subject has different standard. For example, lyric like, formal like, classic like....etc.. So there's no boundary on this board. I actually don't know much about poetry. Hopefully I can learn more and more in the future! :D As my undergrad major is not English actually. I am exploring this poetic world with curiosity. :) I'll read some MASTER's Pieces in the future for sure!!! -- -TRUTH is the absolute Beauty embedded in mind- --
