標題[創作] Prisoner of conscience
時間Sat Nov 3 18:00:37 2007
"Yet, for a moment, one is beset by suspicion: wouldn't it be just as
possible to have an emancipation without happiness and fulfillment as
it is to have a relatively high standard of living without the abolition
(Aufhebung) of repression?"
--Jurgen Habermas, "Consciousness-Raising or Redemptive Criticism"
I don't know how to make children laugh,
No mention how to make them cry,
Nevertheless I take kindly to being badgered by children.
Since the prisoner of conscience is no more needed,
I make a living by faking her tomb,
For she is announced dead, and must have been miscarried.
Removing historicity from the dialectics of the "Happiness-ism,"
By which happiness brings the happy eschatology,
So it can't and shouldn't be and without prerequisite to be overthrown.
Is it for her that I have connection with those men
Just like the fratricidal relationship in Antigone?
She is my Aufklarer, and simultaneously I am her Pygmalion.
A miserable prison is also a happy school.
Her tomb better be found, if not,
It will definitely cause a serious political consequence.
Once again...I am digging my own tomb...
A man of ressentiment will be resentful forever.
Maybe she is the only one who never betrayed anyone.
When she no longer benefits the practical revolution,
Happiness will be degraded to the realpolitik--
Neither the ideal of the benevolent politics nor I ever protected her.
But actually she wins,
And has a relatively high standard of living now.
It is I who am aufhebunged.
A prisoner of conscience can always find his/her own jail.
"Pursuit of Happiness" is our slogan of zeitgeist, thus an irony to her.
I don't have personal hatred for her, yet public hostility.
