Metamorphosis
Maple as leaves
Though crushed into bits;
Or vapors to stream
When lyred into mist,
Shadow or shade,
Amber or jade,
Gliding without wave,
Silence be my noise,
As long as I enjoy
Delights in every way…
Seldom am I caught
In dawns and winter light,
When I am the cloud
Seasoned by rain and frost.
