標題[創作] To A Glimmering Ocean
時間Sat Apr 29 14:51:27 2006
Move, move, here moves the sea,
Into the land it moves
Possessed with some Deadly Sins,
Tempted, corrupted, transpassed.
The evil spirits of the ocean
Swallows this Virgin Island
And vomits, due to indigestion,
The vapors of melting recognition.
Sauron’s eye must be hanging
Invisibly above the darkest realms,
And laughing to its heart’s content
As it perceives the ridiculous scene
That perversion be the principle
When it comes to selecting people:
Elites are fools who know the rules,
And exams are nonsense that makes no sense.
Morons rule and intellectuals fail.
Some scholars are respectable,
But others are incomprehensible.
Doomed are the current institutions
And the future of higher education
When grad-school becomes a trend
And learning subordinates to Master’s Degree
When it comes to benefits to outlive the society.
From the words of a light of contemplation
And the mind of a profound torch of fire
I read some essence of logic and knowledge
To which I now pay my homage.
Let the raindrops of decadence befall
This island of short-sighted vision,
For now calls on me blows of an Old-Dominion horn
Before return it shall this glimmering ocean.
