標題[創作] Indulgence

With words of delicate sarcasm,
my defense you have disarmed, to reveal
A weeping heart woven with
the fabric of guilt.
You attack,
down the infantry of tranquility;
You attack,
arisen a brigand of self-blame;
Oh mercy me with the peace of death, and I would
engrave a epitaph of gratitude.
Yet ceaselessly you tease
marking past glamour with sulfuric shame,
what poison you have made
out of this double-crossing
game, oh betrayal, oh betrayal.
Barren of contrition to protest,
I have confessed, to you and to the World -
I have sinned,
Indulgence paid
in pounds of reproach and masochism,
vouched with indefinite sleepless nights,
tears yet to shed,
Agonizing sweet agony.
So do cash my retribution,
good, goodly man,
and I shall endeavour the sacrament given
till no more can I cry.
