Gran Couva
A drill to entangle
What heart to twist,
Streams of bondage, so dark
Shadings on all, a confusing mist.
Unwary travelers, be in delight!
What's worth pursuing, never missed,
Beyond tropical trees are salts of sea
Gripping beauty powerless to resist,
Singing a song of barbaric wish.
What journey to fill an anxious list,
Marching on a seasons' harvest,
Bouncing stings and chilling springs, if you insist
Invoking what assumptions of lavish dreams
Only to discover within what already exist,
The ingenious art of political masterpiece:
"It's all within the wrist."
