Solitude is a chap
With hoary, quilted garments.
So dark under the sun yet
So bright when the truth-drenched
New crescent lights up eons of
Crisp tranquility like the murmur of
Ripples caressing the forehead of
The lake isle of Innisfree.
Strolling by the bazaar nestled in vanity
Where unbridled lust leeched living souls –
Love for sale! Truth for sale! Purity for sale!
He cast nothing but a glance
Of sheer indifference with a
Smattering of pity.
Thumbing the pamphlet of life,
He just padded down the country road and
Whispered to himself, “Let not the glittering
Dazzle and rout my faith
Toward the religion of truth.”
