標題[請益]Wallace Stevens 與 Carl Sandburg

1. 請問一下Wallace Stevens
在他的Disillusionment of Ten O'Clock中
一開始的white night-gowns
與後來的an old sailor
有什麼對比嗎
印象中white night-gowns是不是在指十點一到就睡覺的保守鎮民
就像是幽魂一樣的沒有free will
那為什麼後面是使用ole sailor呢?？
我實在解讀不出來他們的connotations
麻煩你們了
2. 請問Carl Sandburg "Grass" 的 allusion
因為詩裡面的地名好多都不認識
不知道怎麼推測
narrator用的 I 是 grass
那一直提到的them又是指什麼呢
不好意思還是個英詩入門者
還很多東西要學 先麻煩各位囉^^
