標題[創作] An Old Dying General

One by one, courageous warriors of my company were dying,
rest of them were badly wounded and frightening.
Out of fear, even some young soldiers were crying.
Stroms also hit us by thundering and lightning.
In the camp, our ammunition and food has run out.
For hunger, I drank water mixed the mud as a beggar.
It was too wet, I felt acute pain in my knee 'cause of gout.
I held my pistol and point at my brain,"press down the trigger."
I cried out and yelled at myself.
But I can't; I can't die and leave my brothers behind.
Suicide isn't a place for glorious soldiers to go.
"Die on the battle, sacrifice for your country, and honor yourself."
I encouraged and strengthened my men's will,but I pretend I'm blind.
"After we died, how many people will remember us?" I would never know.
