標題The magical horn of the young --- 2 of 12
時間Wed Mar 19 23:21:01 2003
--- I read the small cycle few weeks ago,
it's was very interesting and beautifully filled with innocence,
the whole set are 12 pieces, I hope I could have the honour to share with
all of you...
But they originally were folk-songs, and they were arranged,
so they don't have a definite auther, what a shame...
"Who made up the little song?"
High up on the mountain there is a house,
And from it a sweet pretty mai looks out.
But that is not her home!
She is the innkeeper's young daughter
She lives on the green moor.
My heart is smitten.
Come, dearest, make it whole again.
Have wounded me sore.
But your rosy lips can make hearts well!
They make young man wise,
And dead man live,
And sick man whole.
Who made up this pretty little song?
Three geese brought it from over the sea,
Two grey ones and a white,
And if anyone cannot sing it,
They will pipe it to him!
--
if music be the food of love,
tho' yet the treat is only sound.
Sure I must perish by your charms,
unless you save me in your arms.
