※ [本文轉錄自 phys94 看板] 作者: ckyui (か～み～ちゅ～～～！) 看板: phys94 標題: Positions for 'early stage researchers' in MC-PAD 時間: Tue Dec 16 02:50:24 2008 受託來傳遞一些訊息給大家 Prof. Palka ( Henryk Palka )那邊有個計劃叫 MC-PAD http://mc-pad.web.cern.ch/mc-pad/ 是個 detector development 的 program 然後現在有些名額希望能有亞洲學生參與 因為是 positions for "early stage researchers" 所以對象為大學畢業或是碩士畢業 明年五月多開始 所以得先確定到時能夠畢得了業&出國 主要就是有點類似學徒制的感覺 跟著你的師父學些detector的東西並"實際製作" 現在主要想找人擔任的是以下這三塊裝置的部份(網頁的projects裡p.10,11,6) Monolithic Detectors, Front end electronics, Very Forward calorimetry 預計要三年, 地點在Poland 如果表現良好並有具體成果的話還可以拿到那個單位的PhD 找了一下網站跟信裡裡似乎沒提到 不過我沒記錯的話印象中老師有跟我說過月薪有三萬歐元的樣子 有興趣的人可以進一步跟五樓王名儒老師洽詢 不過要記得這個申請的期限只到這個月底 加上還得填一些表格之類的 所以有意願的人請在仔細考量後盡快下決定 以下為信件原文: -- The web page with information is http://mc-pad.web.cern.ch/mc-pad/ There are many positions available, some are taken already, but my interest is mostly to fill the positions in Krakow: -Project P10 'Monolithic Detectors' (pixels) application deadline Feb 28, 2009 (job start May 2009) -Project P11 'Front end electronics' application running now (until position filled) -Project P6 'Very Forward calorimetry' same as the above Eligibility conditions are listed in http://mc-pad.web.cern.ch/mc-pad/Eligibility/eligibility_conditions.htm The main point is that : Early-stage researchers are defined as those in the first four years (full-time equivalent) of their research careers, starting at the date of obtaining the degree which would formally entitle them to embark on a doctorate, either in the country in which the degree was obtained or in the country in which the research training is provided, irrespective of whether or not a doctorate is envisaged. (For us the severe limitation is that the candidate has to be from abroad to take the position in Poland, otherwise there would be plenty of them) Financial conditions are given on the web page. Obtaining the PhD during these 3 years is possible but not the necessary condition. --
