I hope you’re as excited as I am to embark on this incredible learning journey with you. Allow me to introduce myself. This is Mia, your trusty sidekick in English. I am a licensed and experienced ESL teacher. I’ve been sharing my enthusiasm in English for about 8 years or so. I’ve worked with diverse students from beginners to proficient levels. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for my work ethic and effectiveness. I’m greatly passionate about my profession, and I love helping others improve their English skills. I once handled a beginner student. He barely speaks and understands English. He can't even make complete sentences correctly; however, he was hungry and thirsty to improve his English skills. We started with basic classes all the way to IELTS. I am proud to say that he can now speak the language confidently and effectively, with a TOEIC score of 850 and an IELTS band score of 7. Until now, he has been practicing with me with the goal of maintaining his accuracy. In June 2023, an 11-year-old student joined my class. She was a beginner as well. I assessed her skills in English, and her goal was to be proficient in the language. We started with her vocabulary, since she needed it the most, until we reached her writing skills. In less than a year, she was able to pass her KET and PET with a Grade A level. With daily preparation and practice, everything paid off well. Right now, we are working more to improve her skills. I used to have an intermittent user whose band score was 2.5. His goal is to improve his score since he needs to work abroad. Higher scores mean greater opportunities. I helped him prepare for everything, from giving homework to making suggestions and all. In less than a year, he was able to achieve a band score of 7. He was really focused on improving his level. With great passion and determination, he made it. Late last year, I encountered a non-user. She had no ability to use the language except for a few isolated words. It was hard for her to understand both spoken and written English. Her self-esteem was poor. However, with daily practice, role play, etc., her improvement increased from time to time. Patience and encouragement are what she needs. Now that she has confidence, she's planning to take some tests to gain more confidence, and she wants to see for herself how she made a big shift in her life. Another student also made another achievement at his level. He used to take the TOEIC exam a lot of times, hoping to improve his score, but to no avail. One of his friends recommended that he need a mentor to help him increase his TOEIC score for his promotion. And it happened that his friend knew me. Therefore, I became his mentor. Within 6 months, from 270 to 810. Due to this, he got promoted, and until now, he is still under care, hoping to maintain and improve his level. Learning is unpredictable. Work Experience Timeline 2016-present: Private English Tutor *Worked 1-on-1 with students struggling with speaking English *Managed and taught kids to adult learners *Introduced and executed highly individual lesson plans ranging their level to accommodate various learning styles *Directed learning to achieve student engagement with material 2019-January 2024: QQ English- ESL Teacher *Effectively taught and supported students both online and offline platform *Assessed and looked after student's progress throughout the learning process *Made evaluation and feedback to diverse students *Conduct individual activities on students based on different learning needs 2018-2019: SPI- Content Support Specialist *Handled queries from the author *Forwarded corrections to the production *Coordinated and integrated the work of writers to produce final layout compatible with corporate standards 2016-2018: EV Academy: ESL Teacher *Work closely with teachers to enhance and improve students learning styles *Taught 1-on-1 and group classes on different levels *Assisted with lesson plans with structured goals to improve students performance 幫老師代PO。老師目前也是我的家教老師，因為跟她亦師亦友的關係，毛遂自薦幫老師找 學生XD 老師是我看過最專業且認真的英文老師，老師從大學就是念教育相關科系，畢業後都是在 當ESL的英文老師，教授的學生遍及亞洲各個國家和各個年齡層，我所知道的有日本的 醫師和律師、對岸的工程師，也有幼稚園的小朋友。老師的績效也很好，最近有 一位幾乎零基礎的同學，六個月內雅思考到7.5分（不過這位同學是全職在準備啦）老師 的課程內容是完全客製化的，她會依照學生的程度和需求做調整，例如我就是很喜歡聊天 的人，老師就會給我時間聊，不會一直要把教材上完（但聊太久也是會被提醒啦）此外， 跟老師聊的時候，她也會很認真的聽我講的每個字，給我一些建議，例如修正我的文法錯 誤、怎麼講更好之類的。老師對自己的教學品質也有很高的標準，之前為了程度較差的學 生的成效，她放棄單價比較高的雅思課程，要求學生先上基礎會話。 老師因為剛離開語言學校，所以有新的家教時段釋出，不然之前真的是要用搶的 --
