How Far? Down in the capital city of Regnum there is a young worker named Harold who works in the employ of the royal castle. Following the recent contest Harold was hired as a courier to transport several Pears from the storehouse, and back to the castle while at the same time collecting four buckets of water from the Well. Luckily for Harold he only had to do this for the last three days of the contest and worked for several hours to complete 33 trips each day. Unlike the other couriers Harold played this rather craftily as he went all the way to the storehouse, and loaded up several pears onto a cart leaving enough room for four buckets to fill at the well on the return trip to the castle. After returning on the third day he received his pay, but was rather curious afterwards just how far he had travelled in those three days. We know the distance from the from the Castle to the Storehouse is 165 fathoms, and the distance from the Castle to the Well is 50 fathoms. Both buildings can be reached in a straight line.
