The expectations of debuting as a solo with a ballad were collapsed with the release of Luna's first album 'Free Somebody'. 'Free Somebody' is of the electronic pop genre that f(x) have been pursuing, with Luna's winding voice making the fantasy-like world of a young girl that f(x) have been drawing so far even clearer. Luna, who wants to "include the stories of [her] childhood", said that 'I Wish' was originally a ballad. While transforming it to EDM, the addition of childlike emotions in the sad lyrics completed the paradoxical image of the song. "When I was young, it would be hard for me to sleep when I catch a cold or fall sick. Then my mom would always bring me warm milk. Even though that was the case, she was able to stand on stage confidently because of her f(x) members. Originally I tend to get very nervous so I have a complex of forgetting the lyrics when I go on stage, but once I stopped worrying so much I was able to overcome it. I think the saying that there is no better textbook than practice is right. Also, as I gain strength from the members' support, I want to do better. "I have a new goal of wanting to let myself become more known to the public through various activities. However, my honest feeling is that I do not want to perform my solo song at f(x) concerts.
