Hello there For the past year, I have been running a very successful discussion group and it has got more and more popular each week… I had to close it [not accept any new members] because it has just got too big! So, I've now opened a new one on Monday nights from 7.30pm - 9.30pm in a restaurant off Shi Da Road, starting from Monday 8th November 2010. 去年成立的英語討論小組獲得極為廣大迴響，有越來越多人想要加入我們每週舉行的聚會 ，由於人數過於眾多，為了維護大家的權益，我不得不忍痛拒絕新朋友的加入…… 不過，我在這裡要跟大家宣佈一個好消息！新的討論小組誕生囉！ 從民國99年11月8日起，每週一晚間七點半至九點半在師大路上的餐廳與大家碰面。 Topics: we discuss the talks from www.ted.com. They have subtitles in Mandarin AND the interactive transcript is available on the website on the right hand side at the top. 討論議題： 我們會從www.ted.com上選擇短片作為題目，此網站的影片配有中文字幕及英文逐字稿 （請見網站右上角），非常適合同學們使用！ Format: a few groups of 3 people each. Every 15 or 20mins we change partners/group so you will speak to most people each evening and I move from group to group throughout the evening. I will email you the discussion questions before so that you know what we will discuss. I will also teach you how you can use some of the useful phrases that the speakers use. 討論形式： 三個人一組，每隔15至20分鐘更換組員或組別，如此一來，每個與會者都有相互認識、 說話的機會，而我也會從旁協助每個小組，使討論運作得更為平順。 每週的討論題目會事先寄給大家，見面時我也會提點大家如何使用影片裡提到的實用片語 Benefits: the discussions open up your mind; it's a chance to practice speaking English; you will meet some great new friends. 參加討論會的好處： 與會者在練習英文的同時還能增廣見聞，此外，這也是個結交新朋友的好場合！ Cost: NTD350 in advance or NTD450 at the door [both include a drink].
