Check the Synchronization chapter.
Now your min-distance in the vector space will reduce by the factor,
cos(r), where r is the phase noise.
by the way, in BPSK,
the transmitted signal is cos(wt) , cos(wt + pi),
if you want to add phase noise in it,
it should be cos(wt + r), cos(wt + pi + r).
