標題[請問] 這一段英文要怎麼樣分析翻譯比較好？

He stood naked at the edge of a cliff. The lake lay far below him.
A frozen explostion of granite burst in flight to the sky over
motionless water. The water seemed immovable, the stone flowing.
The stone had the stillness of one brief moment in battle when
thrust meets thrust and the currents are held in a pause more dynamic
than motion. The stone glowed, wet with sunrays.
從第三句開始變得有點難以理解。
"granite"是花崗岩的意思。
那麼那整句：
A frozen explostion of granite burst in flight to the sky over
motionless water.
可否翻成："平靜的水面上，冰冷的花崗岩向天空暴衝。"？
還有：
The water seemed immovable, the stone flowing.
"看起來水面不動，是石頭在流動。"的意思？
這句更難：
The stone had the stillness of one brief moment in battle when
thrust meets thrust and the currents are held in a pause more dynamic
than motion.
這句幾乎不知道該怎麼翻譯。
請問大家，這段英文應該要怎麼分析翻譯比較好？
