These earned 96 and 97 points from Wine & Spirits - their top syrah scores ever. 3. 2004 Retro Cellars Petite Sirah reg $49.99 / $39.99 by the case Randy Dunn 就是那個 Dunn Vineyards的 Dunn 她的 Howell Mountain 的 cab 頗負盛名 聽說需要陳很久 這隻 Petite Sirah是他兒子釀的 普普通通 單寧很重 被上面兩支比下去了 From Randy Dunn's famed Park Muscatine Vineyard - and made by his son Mike - this is an amazing Petite Sirah. Only 200 cases made from yields of a half-ton an acre. 4. 2003 Rocca Cabernet Sauvignon reg $59.99 / $49.99 by the case 這隻酒香氣很棒 Cab特有的紅醋栗 有層次 又有點果醬 但酒體略薄 香氣有點太過外放尖銳 Celia Masyczek makes the $500+ Scarecrow Cabernet, the $125 Husic Cabernet and this. We believe (and MaCauley believes) this is every bit the equal of the Wine Spectator 96-point 2004. 6. 2003 William Cole Cabernet reg $149.99 / $129.99 by the case aroma很棒 香甜水果味 草莓 還有點紅豆沙 餘感也佳 層次不錯 不過喝起來沒有聞起來那麼驚艷 The "Next Screaming Eagle" - and the Wine which recently broke the new entry price record at the Napa Valley Wine Auction. Only 300 cases made. As good as it gets. 7. 1992 Ridge "Monte Bello" Cabernet $179.99 net 8. 1990 Ridge "Monte Bello" Cabernet $179.99 net 這兩支都是偏earthy口味 不過邊晃酒杯邊聞都還是有香甜水果香 92跟90比起來高下立見 90真的很不錯 27年的酒還是很有勁道 口味口感finish都屬上層 香氣比起willian cole沒有那麼驚艷但平衡感卻好上許多 不過92那隻是375的 Great mature vintages of my favorite California Cabernet. Parker rates the 1992 Monte Bello 94-97, pricing it at $275. The 1990, at 97 points, is the Wine Spectator's best Monte Bello ever. It will be fun to see how they compare. Just a few bottles of each available. --
