Bobby Brown denies he's divorcing Whitney Despite ongoing tabloid reports to the contrary, Alpharetta pop star Bobby Brown said Wednesday that his 14-year marriage to Whitney Houston remains intact. Syndicated talk show host Wendy Williams interviewed Brown in the studio at WBLS-FM in New York and asked him point blank about the state of his marriage. The New York Daily News had a gossip item this week about the union, which was a hot topic on some Atlanta radio stations Wednesday morning. "It's not true," Brown said. "There's no divorce. We're together. I'm out working and she's home with the baby. I miss you, baby, where ever you are." Brown said he expected Houston to fly in for his scheduled concert tonight in Connecticut. Houston's camp, meanwhile, wasn't discussing the couple's future Wednesday. Said her Atlanta attorney Mark Trigg: "Ms. Houston doesn't wish to make a public statement at this time." Last weekend, Brown joined his old New Edition bandmates on stage in Atlantic City during a Bell Biv DeVoe concert. Brown said Wednesday that a fully reunited New Edition would start an eight-week tour beginning in March. Said Brown: "We're going to do about eight weeks and get a couple of fat checks." During a segment featuring phone calls from WBLS listeners, Brown reiterated that both he and Houston, who have battled substance abuse, are "clean" currently. "I'm not on dope anymore. . . Coke? Totally gone. . . It got to the point that my daughters didn't talk to me for a while. When your kids don't talk to you, it hurts. I had to clean up, cold turkey. I'll have a drink every once in a while. . . I just wish people would leave us alone and let us get a few years of sobriety under our belts." He confirmed that he and Houston's primary residence remains here but they maintain homes in New Jersey and Florida.
