However, we need to point out that it's highly unlikely that anyone will have problem with their desktop GPUs because of this problem. Nvidia的GPU問題看來比一開始想像的更嚴重, 不只是mobile GPU有問題, 是全部的 GPU都有影響, 然而, 我們要說, 不是每個人都衰小到會遇到這種問題. What it boils down to is the solder material between the chip and the packaging being sub-standard. Issues only occur if the GPU is heated up and cooled down repeatedly, much as it would be in a laptop that's trying to keep a fine balance between fan noise and heat. This results in the solder becoming brittle, and in the end it cracks and this will cause the GPU to fail. 會出包的是晶片跟封裝之間的接合物不合標準. 這種事情只發生在GPU一直冷冷熱熱的. 像是在筆記型電腦上, 為了平衡風扇噪音與系統溫度, 就會發生這種動作. 這樣冷冷熱熱的會讓接合物脆化, 然後就會碎掉, 你的GPU就會掛點. This doesn't happen to the same extent on a desktop graphics card, as the temperature inside a PC is much more stable and the cooling solutions are in general also much better. Despite this, over time, some GPUs might still develop problems, but we have yet to hear about anyone that's had this kind of a problem. 桌上型電腦因為溫度比較穩定, 散熱系統也比較好, 所以不會發生這種事. 雖然某些 GPU也出包過, 但是我們目前為止沒聽說過他們有發生過這種問題. At this stage it's yet unknown if this also affects Nvidia's chipsets, but until we hear otherwise, we'd presume that they're also affected by the same issue, although again, as long as the chipset cooling is sufficient, it's unlikely that there would be any problems. 在目前來看, Nvidia的晶片組會不會有這種問題仍是未知數. 但在我們有其它消息之前, 我們寧願假設他們也有同樣的問題. 然而, 就像之前說的, 在晶片組的散熱充足的情況 下, 似乎不可能會出這種包.
