Jazz scout will coach Utah's D-League team The Salt Lake Tribune Article Last Updated: 05/24/2007 03:42:41 AM MDT Jazz regional scout Brad Jones will be named head coach of the Utah Flash today at a news conference at the Zions Bank Basketball Center in Salt Lake City, The Tribune has learned. The Utah County-based Flash, who will be affiliated with the Jazz, are one of two new teams in the NBA Developmental League. Jones was nearly hired as a Jazz bench coach two years ago, after longtime assistant Gordon Chiesa left for New Jersey. But that job ended up going to Scott Layden.
