標題[化學] inert-pair effect ?

請問一下有人知道 inert-pair effect 是什麼嗎?
還有 catenation 又是什麼?
普化原文書我沒看到有這個詞
知識和google搜尋的資料少之又少
而且顯示的也是不確定的答案
以下附上原本的考古題目，希望有人能幫我解答~謝謝
