Nikola Pekovic suffered a right quad contusion in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Clippers and is questionable to return. It looked to be a lot worse as it happened and he walked very gingerly to the locker room. Pek should be considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Rockets. Greg Stiemsma would take over at center, but doesn't project to have much value unless you're desperate for blocks. Alexey Shved suffered a sprained left ankle in the fourth quarter of Thursday's game and did not return. He immediately hobbled to the locker room and the TNT broadcast reported that Shved was unable to put weight on his left foot. He lost his starting gig for Thursday's game and didn't seem to have a very good rapport with the second unit, so this injury news might be the straw that broke the camel's back for owners in standard leagues. We'll update his status as soon as it is available, but he might not be able to suit up against the Rockets on Saturday. His minutes will likely be split between J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour.
