標題[外電] Wolves reportedly considering Leuer

Wolves were considering putting a claim in on former Orono High School star
Jon Leuer before he clears waivers at 5 p.m. Friday, July 19.
Leuer, who grew up in Long Lake, was waived Wednesday by Houston, less than
a month after the Rockets acquired him in a trade with Milwaukee on June 27.
If the 6-foot-10 Leuer clears waivers, he becomes an unrestricted free agent
and will be eligible to negotiate with any team.
The Wolves need to add size off the bench after spending most of
the offseason and free-agency period trying to improve their perimeter
scoring at shooting guard or small forward. Leuer, a second-round pick
of Milwaukee in the 2011 draft, started 12 of 46 games as a rookie
and finished the season averaging 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds.
The Wolves have reached tentative agreements with former Portland all-star
Brandon Roy and Alexey Shved of Russia but have yet to sign
the shooting guards. Los Angeles Lakers power forward Jordan Hill
and Boston center Greg Stiemsma also have had talks with the Wolves.
Other free agents the Wolves are considering include forwards
Ronny Turiaf of Miami, Dominic McGuire of Golden State and Carl Landry
of New Orleans and shooting guard Ronnie Brewer, released by Chicago.
