If there's an epicenter, it might be here. Garnett's future remains fodder for media reports and talk in New York, Chicago, and, well, you get the point. But it doesn't seem to faze Garnett, who has grown accustomed to the queries. "It just is what it is," Garnett said after the Friday morning shootaround. "Until the situation gets better or I'm in another situation, I'm expecting questions (of that nature)." So with that in mind, here's the latest round. Asked whether Garnett could ever see himself playing for a team other than the Wolves, Garnett replied: "No. Not at this point, but who knows?" Regarding whether he could play for Knicks coach Isiah Thomas, a Chicago native who has known Garnett for years, the Wolves' franchise player said: "I'm not going to answer all these shoulda, woulda, what if questions. Isiah, I've always had a lot of respect for him. I met him in my couple years in Chicago (in high school). I've grown a nice bond with him. He's always kept it real straight and to the point with me, and I've always respected him." Wolves coach Randy Wittman takes the Garnett trade talk in stride. Thomas spoke glowingly of Garnett on Thursday in advance of Friday night's game, and those who choose to read between the lines believe that means the Knicks would love to have Garnett on their roster. The New York Post reported Friday that the Knicks contacted the Wolves about Garnett's availability at the trade deadline and that they will make another run at Garnett this summer. "That's the business that we're in," Wittman said. "Every team is going to try to improve their team, as we are going to try to do. That's no different than us calling up team Y and asking about their player. And that's what you do to improve your team. You find out who's available and who's not." Giving back: The Wolves' Ricky Davis will host Easter dinner Sunday night for 25 children and their families at the Graves 601 Hotel in Minneapolis. It's an idea he initiated on his own, aside from required promotional appearances with the team. Davis is one of the team's most active players in the community, which goes against his reputation in some circles as a flashy, me-first showboat. Davis also invited teammate Justin Reed to join him in delivering Thanksgiving gift baskets to St. Anne's Place in Minneapolis. On Christmas Eve, Davis and Reed delivered gifts to the homes of 12 single mothers and their families. "I would rather it not be a big publicity thing," Davis said. "I would rather just do it by the heart. People who do know me know how considerate I am, just giving back to young people. I just do it for the fun of it. I try to do something every holiday" --
