May the new year be filled with new dreams and ambitions for everyone. Sorry for being so quiet these past few months. I just returned from a long long and exhausting trip from China and Japan. The former being the promotions for Stranger(yes, it was released a long time ago and it is till now that we finally got our foot on the land of the billion people)...we travelled to 5 cities in ten days, mainly ChonQing, ChangSha, Nanjing, Beijing and Shanghai. Was really quite an eye opener. I even got to sit in one of those retro inter-land trains which was a 'back to the past' experience for me. It was pretty cold(-4C) in almost every city and boy did I have a hard time trying to hold back the chattering of my teeth when I performed in venues where there were no central heating system... quite a laugh thinking back about them now. The latter was representing Singapore for the J-ASEAN pop concert held in Yokohama. It brought about many musicians from about ten other ASEAN countries...many of them a bona fide star in their own homeland and some internationally recognised. It was an inspiring and humbling experience for me to see them perform and on top of that, made me realise just how many tremendous talents we have in Asia and that we should all be proud of ourselves as Asians and that we are not in lack of or inferior to our Western counterparts. We should really start noticing and appreciate what we have around us. I've got so much to share with all of you...I'll try to post some pictures that we took during the trips. Meanwhile, am going try to start writing and working on the next Chinese album. But first, think I'll go somewhere to relax and chill before the going gets crazy again. Happy hols to ya'll.
