標題[討論] 請問"為了"的英文用法

請問各位先進
The director should behave well ___ he may show a good example
to his subordinates.
(A) in order to
(B) so as to
(C) no matter what
(D) so that
答案是(A) 想請問一下為什麼不是(D) @@??
A跟B記得是一樣的意思，差別在B只能放句中，而A除了句中以外還可以放句首
C是無論的意思，D也是"為了"的意思，而且後面才能接子句不是嗎？..
還是我搞錯了呢？
然後
___ the breakdown of the computer, Ms. Gore had to go to much tuouble
and reply to the fax by using a typewriter
(A) Despite
(B) Since
(C) Owing to
(D) Now that
答案是(D) "既然現在"
A是"即使"，(B)後面要接句子
想請問為什麼(C)不行？ Owing to後面可接單字，意思是"因為"不是嗎？
