從選項（1）～（3）中選擇最適合填入空格的答案。

解說
空格處要填入關係副詞，而由先行詞the first day可判斷答案為表示時間的(3)when。
其他選項
(1) where（先行詞為表示地點的名詞時才使用where）
(2) why（先行詞為表示理由之the reason時才使用why）
