1. Former
used for describing sb. or sth. that had a particular job, title, status etc.
in the past, but not now.
某人或某事曾經有個特定的工作或名稱。現在已經沒有了。
ex:He abandoned his former career as a geologist.
2. Previous
a previous event, period, or thing happened or existd before the one
you are talking about.
一個先前的事件或時期。或者是事情在談話之前就發生或存在。
ex:Mark has two children from the previous marriage.
