I found a facebook page for a George Hsieh, with a picture of two men one tall and one older. The older looks very much in the face as I remember my friend. The facebook page I found lists an Yi-Ling Hsieh at Purdue as one of two daughters and I hope I am sending this to the right person. When I knew him he was operating a small photo studio on what used to be Road 1 in Tian Mu and my family and I lived not far away. My wife and I remember him and his family as very gracious, special people and as good kind friends. I would like very much to be able to exchange emails with him. I just talked to my son and he also sent you an email about this. He was still pretty young when we left Taiwan in mid 1976 but he remembers the people we knew there. The attached photo is I and my family about 2 1/2 years after we left Taiwan, taken the day of my retirement from active duty. If your dad is the friend I knew he should recognize us in this picture.
