NEW YORK, Jan. 22, 2007 – The Washington Wizards’ Caron Butler and the
Phoenix Suns’ Steve Nash today were named the Eastern and Western Conference
Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Monday, Jan. 15, through
Sunday, Jan. 21.
Butler averaged 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 2.8 steals in
helping Washington to a 4-0 week. He scored 27 points, including the
game-winning dunk with two seconds left to play, and added 10 assists and
five rebounds in Washington’s 99-98 win over New York on Jan. 17.

in the Suns’ 100-91 win at Houston on Jan. 17, and twice notched 15 assists
– at Memphis on Jan. 15 and vs. Portland on Jan. 19.
