各位大大好，今天在寫作業的時候遇到好多問題 希望能有善心人士給我一點Hint！ 謝謝~~ :) ─────── ◎ 題目出處：Introduction to Mathematical Statistics 6th Edition ◎ 作者：Hogg‧McKean‧Craig ◎ 章節： CH7：Sufficiency ─────── § 7.4. Completeness and Uniquenes 【題目】 P388 #7.4.9 Let X_1,....,X_n be iid with pdf f(x;θ) =1/(3θ) , －θ＜x ＜ 2θ, zero elsewhere, where θ＞0 （a）Find the mle θhat of θ （b）Is θhat a sufficient statistic for θ? Why? （c）Is (n+1)/n θhat the unique MVUE ( i.e UMVUE) of θ? Why? 【我的問題】 （a）就我去討論θ的範圍，然後找它的下界， 然後我算出來的 θhat = max（－Y_1 ,1/2 Y_n） 可是課本給的答案是θhat = max（－2Y_1 , Y_n）這樣， 好像是討論2θ的範圍決定出來的不知道我的答案可不可以？ 這個意思是代表我們用mle 算出來的θhat 可能不唯一這樣？ 那要寫哪個比較好勒？ 還是隨便？ （b）沒有問題 （c）UMVUE 要驗證 sufficient、complete、unbiased ， 因為sufficient 已經在（b）算過了，所以只剩下complete and unbiased ， 不過它的θhat長得這麼奇怪，所以我到底要怎麼驗證 complete and unbiased 呢？是要分case討論嗎？ ＝＝+ ───────── § 7.5.The Exponential Class of Distributions 【題目】 P392 #7.5.3. Let X_1,X_2,....,X_n denote a random sample of size n from a distribution with pdf f( x；θ)＝θx^(θ-1)，0＜x＜1，zero elsewhere, and θ＞0 （a）Show that the geometric mean ( X_1 X_2 ......X_n )^(1/n) of the sample is a complete sufficient statistic for θ 【我的問題】 Π(i=1~n) f( x_i；θ) =Π(i=1~n) θx_i^(θ-1) ＝θ^n Π(i=1~n) x_i^(θ-1) ＝exp [ n ln(θ)+(θ-1)Σ(i=1~n) ln(x_i) ] p(θ)=θ-1 ； Y=Σ(i=1~n)K(x_i) =Σ(i=1~n) ln(x_i) =ln[ Π(i=1~n)x_i ] then by thm, Y is a complete sufficient statistic 可是我的Y長得跟題目要的不一樣耶!! 我想問的是 Y is a complete sufficient statistic ， 那 aY+b也會是 complete and sufficient statistic嗎？a、b 都是常數。 還有 ln[ Π(i=1~n)x_i ] is a complete sufficient statistic 那 Π(i=1~n)x_i (裡面那坨) 也會是complete and sufficient statistic嗎？ 因為如果是的話，好像就可以利用ln的性質吧那個1/n 次方弄出來了， 還是不是這樣做呢？ ＝＝+ ─────── § 7.5.The Exponential Class of Distributions 【題目】 P393 #7.5.11. Let X_1,X_2,....,X_n，n＞2, be a random sample from the binomial distribution b( 1,θ) （a）Show that Y_1＝X_1＋X_2+....+X_n is a complete sufficient statistic for θ （b）Find the function φ(Y_1) which is the MVUE of θ （c）Let Y_2 ＝( X_1＋X_2) / 2 and compute E(Y_2) （d）Determine E( Y_2 │Y_1=y_1 ) 【我的問題】 (a)～(c) 都OK，但 (d) 要算conditional pdf 時，我不會寫分母的 joint pdf 它的X 變數目前有n個，不過Y變數只有兩個， 是要自己設其他的n-2個變數去做轉換嗎？ 目前沒有頭緒這樣 @@ ───── 懇請大家幫我解答一下 非常感謝大家 ^____^ --
