標題[問題] 想請教各位大大，什麼是structural equation model,SEM

如題，看到paper上有用到structural equation model,好像縮寫是SEM.不知道在說啥也@@~
好像還有提到 Factor analysis 及 The predictive validity ~~><""都不太了
不知道各位大大知道嗎，還是有什麼入門書之類可以介紹給小的^^""

以下是文章的全文
Factor analysis may be used to determine the
total imprecision—the combination of laboratory
imprecision and preanalytical variation—
of each biomarker (Budtz-Jorgensen et al.2003).
The predictive validity of the biomarkers
may also be assessed from their associations
with known outcome variables (Grandjeanet al. 1999).
An extended analysis can be carried out
using a structural equation model,
where confounders and effect variables are included
這裡指的biomarker可以當作一個受污染程度的指標，而
outcome variable則可想作污染後的結果，
confounder指的是其他的因子造成相同的污染結果，非預期的
此一段我猜應該是要來利用統計來計算
biomarker與outcome variable之間的相關性。
