Tsuyoshi Wada - S - Orioles
Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Orioles' left-hander Tsuyoshi
Wada (elbow) needs Tommy John surgery.
We already knew that Wada had a partial ligament tear in his elbow, but it
wasn't confirmed whether he would undergo surgery or attempt to rehab. It's
awful luck for the Orioles, who signed the 31-year-old left-hander to a
two-year, $8.15 million contract this offseason. Assuming he goes through
with the surgery, Wada will be sidelined through the early part of the 2013
campaign.
