London - Maria Sharapova can't help but be overwhelmed by more than a century of tennis tradition when she steps into the clubhouse of the All England Club. "It's amazing," said the Russian who won the title three years ago as a 17-year-old to break onto the world stage. "I get goosebumps every time I drive through Wimbledon village, (then) I see my name on the (club) board, by the trophies. "It's an incredible feeling. But it's a bit surreal because I feel like it happened so long ago." Sharapova, who added to her Grand Slam collection with last year's US Open title, has never been able to duplicate her 2004 success, reaching the semi-finals at the last two editions. "When I do see my name, it's a bit of a reality check because that did really happen. Every year I get my member's badge. "It's really special because you don't think about it on a daily basis, Wow, I'm a Wimbledon champion." Sharapova will begin her fifth Wimbledon campaign as second seed facing Yung-Jan Chan of Taiwan in the first round. The Florida-based Russian, an international style and marketing icon at age 20, said that no matter how far her young career eventually goes, her Wimbledon accomplishment will with her for ever. "No one can take that away from me. In 20 years, I can just walk around the members' area and still see my name there. It will still be on that trophy. "I was looking through a pamphlet that they gave us, to all the players, with all the information. There's this one picture of the trophy. "There was my name with all the others around it.
