Fairy tales often begin with the words, "Once upon a time." From the very beginning, these stories are enchanting and filled with hope and magic. We often idealize certain experiences in life and expect them to be fairy- tale like. Romantic relationships... dreams we strive for - these are some of the occurrences that we expect to be ideal. You may have thought that a current experience of yours was going to be far more perfect than it has turned out to be, and the reality may be disappointing.
